The Prince of Wales Will Participate in UN Climate Conference in South America
Prince William will represent the COP30 climate summit in South America during November, as confirmed by palace sources.
The father and son duo appeared together on Thursday evening at a event ahead of the climate summit, which is planned for in the Amazonian city of Belem.
The King and Prince were in attendance at the scientific institution event, marking an rare public appearance together at a environmental conference preliminary meeting co-hosted by the British authorities.
Environmental Advocacy Dedication
King Charles has been a longstanding advocate of biodiversity preservation - and the Prince of Wales has taken on the baton, with his own Earthshot awards, which will be held in Brazil ahead of the climate conference.
Official representatives have characterized the Prince's participation at the forthcoming conference as taking on an important role in "environmental negotiations".
Previous Activities
The monarch and his heir, arriving together in the official car, were greeted attendees such as conservation experts, scientists, climate change campaigners, foreign representatives and politicians.
This involvement involved presentations alongside French leader Macron of the French Republic and other world leaders at the Ocean Finance Summit in Monaco during the current year.
Earthshot Awards Connection
The COP30 summit will dovetail with the William's personal sustainability recognition program, which will finish in Rio de Janeiro the eve of he joins the climate conference on November 6th.
Recently the William described the Earthshot finalists as "heroes of our time".

The King has been a key figure at earlier environmental conferences, delivering the inaugural speech in the United Arab Emirates for COP28, including the reminder: "Our responsibility is to protect the world we inhabit".
"For decades I've committed a significant amount of my life trying to alert people to the existential threats confronting humanity over planetary heating, climate change and biodiversity loss," the sovereign addressed attendees.
