The former president's Family Member Seeks Expert Advice from Golf Legend Woods Prior to Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star has impressive online presence
Kai Trump can count on plenty of high-profile backers when she begins her first LPGA appearance later this week.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
The former president, an avid golfer, owns numerous golf courses and often competes against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we have tight competitions," she revealed.
Kai explained that Trump, who won't be present, counseled her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa basically suggested to compete and have fun," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's simply an ordinary family member. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, making him rather occupied."
While still amateur, the golfer has played in just three tournaments in 2024 and holds ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.
But she can seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He is the greatest golfer in the world," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's an even better person. He suggested me to go out there, relax, and go with whatever happens."
She'll challenge multiple most prominent players in women's golf at the Annika, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that her participation helps introduce the sport to different demographics, specifically with younger fans.
The social media influencer maintains millions of followers and recently launched her own clothing and lifestyle company.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
