Our Colleagues at Fextralife Unveil a Fresh Hub for Custom Content
The customization landscape has never been bigger or so sought after as it is now. Creators who crafted new mechanics for beloved games such as Skyrim and Baldur’s Gate III have landed significant positions in gaming. Complete titles have been built leveraging prior work. A creator even discovered how to make Silksong somewhat more accessible.
Truly, in this time, anything seems possible with a vision, technical expertise, and some determination. Therefore, it’s expected that a growing segment of the market is aiming to assist that constantly increasing modification scene, and that our pals at Fextralife are joining the effort. Recently, the resource hub revealed it would broaden its services with the FXMods platform, a “brand-new gaming mod platform created for gamers who seek a quick, free, and unlimited customizations to enrich their preferred titles.
FXMods promises to be a free platform with full-speed downloading, immediate availability, and integration with the larger Fextralife wiki system, which aims to allow makers to gain more exposure as users discover their downloadables among other content.
What’s the hope for this new platform? I questioned Fextralife’s Matt Hook, who has been fully engaged in guiding the project.
“What we're doing here is sincerely seeking to focus on the community’s needs,” Hook says. “We want a great experience for the gaming community to be able to download mods promptly and conveniently, and we want to compensate mod creators and active users with acknowledgment and rewards.”
