12pmArsenal v Manchester City live

Arsenal are feeling the heat just a handful of matches into the season, having dropped points in their last two games and sorely underperforming in a 1-1 tie against Aston Villa last weekend. The Gunners already trail Chelsea by 4 points. City, in contrast, have rebounded from their opening round loss to achieve three straight victories and are third in the WSL table, while Arsenal are in surprising fifth. Live coverage will be provided.

Two in the afternoonSingapore Grand Prix qualifying

Real-time coverage will keep you up to date in what is sure to be a compelling qualifying. Consecutive race wins for Max Verstappen have injected a bit of spice to the title race. Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris will be desperate for good performances in the Singapore GP. The team's dominance for the majority of the season means they should claim a tenth constructors’ title on Sunday, but the Dutchman's improved form has caused anxiety. While the Australian still is ahead of Norris by 25 points in what seems a two-driver battle for the driver’s title, any hiccups could let Verstappen to cut further into the 69-pt gap to the lead.

3:00 PMLive: Arsenal vs West Ham & Man Utd vs Sunderland

Live blog on compelling matches with a pair of managers especially under the spotlight. The unrelenting attention on Amorim's travails at Manchester United has escalated to a crucial point, and the match with Sunderland has all the makings of a watershed before the break for internationals. The manager's 50th match in charge might be his last, despite the team winning their last two home games. Following 49 games, his stats stands at: 18 wins, 12 draws, 19 losses. That 36.7 percent win rate is much lower with his predecessor Erik ten Hag’s 70% at the same stage. West Ham, on the other hand, play for their second game under Nuno, following Monday’s 1-1 draw at Everton. West Ham have the interesting statistic of having beaten Arsenal back-to-back at the Emirates Stadium. Another home defeat by their London rivals seems unlikely given the Arsenal's recent form – six victories from their past eight Premier League matches.

EPL

Half past fiveChelsea v Liverpool live

Saturday’s late afternoon match sees the meeting of teams in a dip in form. Maresca's Chelsea have endured back-to-back Premier League losses, to United and Brighton & Hove Albion, while the title holders lost 2-1 to Crystal Palace before stumbling in the European competition in Istanbul in the week. Arne Slot’s side are without a win in their last four Premier League games at Stamford Bridge but have not lost consecutive league matches since April 2023. Looking for omens? Isak, the Reds' summer signing, has scored in his last two Premier League games at the Bridge, though both games resulted in defeats for his former team Newcastle. Real-time updates will be provided.

Updates will sort through the aftermath from Saturday’s matches before turning to a Sunday's lineup that includes five Premier League matches as well as the local derby, as Ipswich host Norwich City in the Championship at noon. In the Scottish top flight, both Glasgow giants are in action. Celtic play Motherwell FC and woebegone Rangers visit Falkirk. In Europe, Sevilla v Barcelona is among 5 La Liga games, while Juventus meet Milan in a high-profile Serie A match.

Quarter to twelvePrix de l’Arc de Triomphe live

Pre-race analysis and washup from one of the racing calendar’s most prestigious events will be provided. In a field of seventeen for the 3:05 PM big race, the O'Brien-trained Minnie Hauk is the 3-1 favourite after being given a ideal starting position in gate 1. O’Brien, who is aiming for a third win in the race, also runs Los Angeles, third last year, but he will have to defy stall 14 to win. Another runner, who is just after Minnie Hauk in the betting, was handed stall 12. Hopes of a first Japanese-trained winner were dealt a blow, with the Japanese Derby winner, one entry, and the Prix Foy winner, Byzantine Dream, drawn in stalls 17 and 15 respectively. Their countryman Alohi Alii appears better placed in gate 4. Fabre's pair of Sosie and Cualificar did better with gates 3 and 8 respectively, while Francis-Henri Graffard’s trio could have done worse.

1pmSingapore Grand Prix live

Real-time commentary of the big race under the night lights will be provided. Clearly Verstappen has momentum – he was runner-up at his home race in the Dutch GP before his victories in Monza and Azerbaijan – but probably still needs a major McLaren drop in form, as well as victories in the seven remaining races and three sprint races, to {clin
